Privacy policy

StoreStatus Product Analytics ("StoreStatus", "we") provides product analytics to merchants who install our app on their Shopify store. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Information we access

When you install StoreStatus, Shopify grants us access to data in your store based on the permissions you approve, including:

• Store details such as your shop name, domain, currency and time zone.
• Products, variants, prices, inventory levels and collections.
• Order and sales analytics, retrieved through ShopifyQL and the Shopify Admin API.
• Limited customer information needed for repeat purchase and basket analysis, such as whether an order came from a new or returning customer.

How we use it

• To calculate and show product analytics, scores and recommendations in the app.
• To write scores to your product metafields when you enable that feature.
• To send the reports and alerts you choose to receive.
• To answer requests from Shopify Sidekick or AI tools you connect through our MCP server.
• To provide support and keep the service working and secure.

What we store

We keep as little as possible. We store your shop's settings and plan, cached query results, and nightly snapshots of inventory and prices so we can measure stockouts and price changes. We do not store customer names, addresses, emails or phone numbers.

Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run StoreStatus, such as our hosting and email providers, under agreements that protect it, or when the law requires it.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall StoreStatus we delete your store's data. We respond to Shopify's customer data request, customer redaction and shop redaction webhooks as Shopify requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete information about you. If you are a customer of a store that uses StoreStatus, please contact that store, and we will help them respond.
